It is very important for us to know about the three Bio-Energies which are known as Tridosha (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) that govern our body, which is the basic principle of Ayurveda. This chapter illustrates the qualities of each dosha, along with their effects on our body and which areas they cover. It also covers the different types of Vata, Pitta and Kapha that exist.
The three doshas in our body i.e. Vata, Pitta and Kapha are composed of the five basic elements of nature which are Air, Fire, Water, Earth and Space. Each Dosha has a certain role to play. This segment of the course explains to you in detail what Prakriti actually is and what are the physical & mental traits of each type. Here you also get an insight into the diseases that occur in our body when any of the Dosha is imbalanced.
This section of the course gives you a clear way to know and gauge the people according to what Prakriti they are. It has a questionnaire that describes all the physical, social, mental and other types of characteristics that each dosha possesses. This is the simplest and most easy way to learn.
According to Ayurveda, there are six types of tastes of food, and these tastes are specific to a person's Prakriti. These tastes can aggravate or balance the specific dosha. Ayurveda also emphasizes the importance of eating according to one's body type. So here you get a deep insight into the ayurvedic science of taste and food choices and how one should modify it according to his or her Prakriti to be healthy and disease-free.
Ayurveda states, like food and taste, the plant herbs are also specified according to the Prakriti of a person. The plant herbs are very potent and effective to balance the aggravated dosha in a person and keep the possible disease at bay. Our kitchen is a storehouse of many medicinal herbs which we don't know about. This section is all about learning the different types of herbs used for different diseases or illnesses, which ones should be taken, and which ones to be avoided for each dosha.
Our body has many Chakras, but among them, there are 7 which are most important. This chapter deals with explaining to you what exactly chakras are, all the seven types of chakras, their location, what functions they perform, what are the effects on the body when they are imbalanced. This chapter is more significant for women as the physiology of the hormones and chakras are discussed here with.
Here you will learn about the impact of different colors on our health. How colors influence our mind, body, feelings, behavior and the seven energy channels known as Chakras. This chapter provides detailed information about how this concept came and how it affects our health and well-being.
This segment of the course illustrates and explains the role of different color foods on our health. How and why our body needs different color food and how all nutrients are made from them. Here the immense health benefits of the Rainbow Diet are also discussed, which may simply prevent many ailments.
We all know that the type of foods we include in our Diet is very important. But we must also know that the timing of the meals is equally important. This is what you learn here; the effects of meal timings on health along with reasons for the same. You will also learn about which dosha is dominant in what part of the day and the modifications you would require to do.
This chapter is an extension of the Impact of the Rainbow diet concept. How colours affect our mind and behavior, how certain colours have the ability to agitate one whereas how other colours can calm one down. Similarly, we will also learn about the impact of different colour foods on our different areas of the body.
In continuation with the Chapter on Chakras, here you will learn about the plant herbs that can help in balancing the seven chakras of the body. This includes the normal preparation of herbs and the kitchen herbs as well.
This chapter deals with how different colors interact in varied ways with the endocrine system to stimulate or suppress hormone release. The electromagnetic wavelengths below red (infrared, radio waves) and wavelengths beyond purple (ultraviolet, x-ray, gamma rays) are known to have physiological effects. The visible electromagnetic waves have an effect on our hormones.
Alkaline Diets are the talk of the town nowadays for weight loss, disease management and being healthy, it is because of a simple reason that they can help prevent many types of illnesses which otherwise can become chronic. This chapter explains to you the benefits of Alkaline Diets along with the dos and don'ts one must follow in it.
